Daruish Mehrjui is a director who was born in 1939 in Tehran, Iran. He started his career in cinema and starred in “Almas 33” as a director in 1967. He has won a lot of awards such as the Crystal Simorgh of Best Directing and Best Script for “Hamoun”, the Crystal Simorgh of Best Script for “Sara and the Crystal Simorgh of Best Directing for “Pari” from Fajr Film Festival. His most notable activities are “The Tenants”, “The Cow”, “The Pear Tree”, and “Santouri”.
