Kioumars Poorahmad is a writer and director who was born in 1949 in Isfahan, Iran. He started his career in cinema and starred as a writer in “Gheseye Khiaban-e Deraz” directed by Mohsen Taghvaei in 1978. He has won the Crystal Simorgh for Best Director for “Khaharan-e Gharib” form Fajr Film Festival. From his activities as a director and writer, “Gol-e Yakh”, “Shabe Yalda” and “The Tales of Madjid” can be named.
