Asghar Farhadi is a director, scriptwriter, and producer who was born in 1972 in Isfahan, Iran. He started writing “Mah-e Mehraban” series in 1996 and then “Roozegare Javani” series. His first experience as a director was in “Cheshm Be Rah” series in 1998. His most notable activities as a director are “About Elly”, “A Separation”, “Fireworks Wednesday” and “The Salesman”. Asghar Farhadi is the first Iranian director who won Oscar Award for Best Foreign Movies for “The Salesman” and “A Separation”. He has also won the Crystal Simorgh Award for the Best Director from Fajr Film Festival for “A Separation”, “Fireworks Wednesday” and “About Elly”.
