Akbar Abdi is a theater, cinema and television actor who was born in 1960 in Tehran, Iran. The "Janjal-e Bozorg" directed by Siavash Shakeri was his first film. He won Crystal Simorgh for Best Second Role Actor in Fajr Film Festival for "Mother" by Ali Hatami and also won it for Best Supporting Actor for "Khabam Miad" by Reza Ataaran. His other movies are Dariush Mehrjui's "The Tenants", "Grand Cinema" by Hossein Hedayat and "Ekhrajiha" by Masoud Deh Namaki.
