Merila Zarei is an actress of cinema and television who was born in 1974 in Isfahan. She started her professional work with Hossein Hedayat's "Detective" television series. Her first movie was "Patak". She has also featured in movies such as "Everything for Sale" by Amir Hossein Saghafi, "Hush! Girls Don't Scream" by Pouran Derakhshandeh, "Thirteen Cats on Roof" by Ali Abdolalizadeh, "About Elly" by Asghar Farhadi and "Esrafil" directed by Aida Panahandeh. She won the First Best Female Actress in Fajr Festival, for playing in Narges Abirar's "Track 143" and Pouran Derakhshadeh's "Under the Smokey Roof". She also received the Crystal Simorgh Award from the Fajr Festival for "Friday's Soldiers" by Massoud Kimiaei. Her other activities on television are "young police", "Ham Nafas" and "Pahlavi Hat".
